Season Opener Raccoon Creek Adventure Race
Sprint Series #1
Start Time: 9:00am, Location: Raccoon Creek State Park
This race is the first in our four race sprint series and is a great introduction to adventure racing. It will include trail running (4-6 miles), mountain biking (8-10 miles), and orienteering using maps produced by the Western Pennsylvania Orienteering Club. The bike leg will be primarily on marked course, the orienteering will occur during the run leg. We anticipate this race to be 3-5 hours long and will end with a great post race party.
Prizes will be awarded to top three two persons team in each category--Co-Ed, all Female, and all Male--with the best prizes going to the Co-Ed division. Solo prizes will also be awarded to top male and female finishers.

Racer: Mountain Bike, Bike Helmet, Source of Hydration
Team: Compass, Map Case (gallon Ziploc OK), Pen/pencil
